Bluetooth

Pair Bluetooth headphones and speakers with MuPiBox – the sound switches automatically as soon as a device is connected.

Under Hardware → Bluetooth you pair headphones and speakers.

Pairing #

1. Switch Bluetooth active on (off by default).
2. Put the device into pairing mode and select it under Found devices.
3. Pair – the box marks the device as trusted and connects it.

Devices that ask for a PIN or a confirmation on both sides are not supported yet; most headphones and speakers pair without a PIN.

Automatic audio output #

As soon as a paired device is in range, the box connects it by itself and switches the sound there without interruption. When it disconnects, the sound returns to the normal output. Volume limits still apply.

Interactions #

• Spotify with go-librespot does not work over Bluetooth – use the default Soloist backend (Spotify).
• For multiroom via Sendspin, compensate the Bluetooth device's delay with "Fixed audio delay".
• Parental control can block changing the audio output.
• With Bluetooth an icon appears in the status bar; hide it under Design.
