Updates
Find MuPiBox updates and install them with one click, choose the update channel, go back to older versions and understand what happens during an update.
Under Maintenance → Updates you keep the box up to date. The box already checks in the background whether there is an update when the admin interface is opened.
Installing an update
The top of the page always shows the current state:

| Update available: <version> | install it with Update now. The release notes are right below. |
| MuPiBox is up to date | no newer update in the chosen channel. |
| Updating … | progress with stage and percent. |
| Update failed | the cause is shown below; "Check for updates" tries again. |
When an update is available, the left sidebar also shows an orange "New update" notice under the quick links.
What happens during an update
- The box downloads the release from
releases.mupibox.deand verifies signature and checksum. - It saves the database and configuration.
- It activates the new version and restarts once.
- After the start the new version confirms that it runs. If that fails, the box returns to the previous version automatically on the next start.
- New system dependencies are installed.

Update channel and advanced

Only change the manifest source for development or testing.
Version history
Lists all published versions with release notes. From here you can also switch back to an older version; a configuration backup is created automatically first.
