Add local audiobooks, link an RFID card, prepare offline podcasts and create child-safe playback.

Add an audiobook #

1. Enable the file share and copy audio into its own directory.
2. In Content → Media & categories, open or create a category.
3. Select Add medium → Local media, choose the directory and optionally upload a cover.
4. Save and test playback on the touchscreen.

Link an RFID card #

1. Enable the reader under RFID.
2. Open the item in Media & categories.
3. Present a card, save the detected ID as the item's assignment and test on the box.
4. If the card does not play, verify the reader and parental restrictions.

Offline podcasts #

Add a feed from the directory search or URL, select an offline cache size, then verify that the desired episodes have downloaded before going offline.

Child-friendly setup #

Set an admin password, enable only suitable providers, configure time restrictions, cap the maximum volume and test touch and card access. Finally create a backup.
