Display preview & remote display

See and remote-control the MuPiBox touch display in the browser – snapshot, live view, remote display and screencast recording.

Under System → Display & remote you see and control the real touch display remotely – handy for support and setup.

Display preview #

A snapshot of what the display shows right now. The live view fetches a new image every 2 seconds and adds load to the box.

Remote display #

Controls the real display with mouse or finger: click = tap, hold = long press, drag = swipe/scroll.

• Off by default and only available with an admin password set.
• Ends automatically after 15 minutes, on logout and on a restart.
• During a session the live view of the preview is blocked so the box is not loaded twice.

Recording a screencast #

Records the display without sound until you press Stop. The recording is stored one level above the music folder in the folder screencast and can be reached via file sharing.
